This would make a great advent calendar. The pattern is a Block of the Month pattern but can be purchased as an entire kit.  Pattern for the tree and 24 ornaments are included.  An additional 3.33 yards of fabric are needed for the backing.

Embellish with some small rice lights to make this tree shine even more.
